A New Beginning....

My dear friend and next door neighbour moved today - her husband has decided after 23 years (she's only 40 - so virtually all her adult life) no longer wants to be married - my poor friend is devastated but has been so brave and has held it together and remained at home since he told her in August (she found out, only two weeks ago, that he has been having a two year long affair with her best friend) - as she left today to her new home I was in much more of a state than she was....and although she has only moved 10 minutes away - it just won't be the same.
My thoughts are with her tonight as I'm sure it will hit her......

Here is my card that I made for her......

I bought the paper from the new SU mini catalogue how gorgeous does it look....??

.....and a peek at the inside.....

  1. oh that is horrible for your friend. A similar thing happened to my Aunt.. only the "friend" who had an affair with her husband sat on the sofa and put her arm round my aunt the night he left ... both of them lied and it didn't come out till weeks later!
However - your friend will love the card - and she is so lucky to have such a wonderful caring friend.
It will be hard from her - but i am sure she will come through it .. and hope she builds a happy life in her new home

  2. Men are such pigs sometimes!!! How awful but unfortunately this is happening all too often...especially at that stage in life. Some best friend hmph! Ten minutes isn't far and she will be thankful for your friendship at such a difficult time. Out with the old and on with the new! She's young and will find someone some day that deserves her :-D xx
