Midway 'Snowflake' Challenge Reminder.....

Another week has gone by and I have got myself amazingly organised during the past week and am very impressed with myself :0)

I went to the Christmas markets with Jane on Friday and I believe that this was a turning point - I feel so Christmassy now......

Whilst we we were walking round my hands were freezing - until they were wrapped round my Gluckwein !!!!

So onto my creation today.......it is another altered clear box which you can purchase here - not forgetting the crazy sale on cling stamps here.

Today I used 'Mistletoe Nikki' which you can purchase with 70% off now....Inside my box I have put 8 'hand hotties' - they are disposable and another ideal gift for teachers or teaching assistants.

Now don't forget you have one week left to enter your

Gift card....

The weather here the past couple of days has been absolutely dreadful but watching the news tonight I realise how lucky we are.....I can't begin to imagine what those poor people are going through...hopefully all my blogging friends are warm and dry.

I had an enquiry last week from a lady who was treating her husband to a weekend in Paris for Christmas BUT he knew nothing about it.....
She wanted the card to incorporate the gift - so she asked me if I could design the card round the trip......

Eeeek - I don't know about you but sometimes these cards
can almost look child-made and didn't really like the idea of making the card with the Eiffel tower in the middle....

A few weeks ago I saw a card that had an envelope on it and wondered if I could do something like that - I can't for the life of
me find the blog where I saw it....

So with all sorts of ideas going around in my head - here is my completed card.......and this is what the lady wrote to me
"Susan, I cried I can't believe it, the card is unbelievable,
fantastic and just so right'
well - I cried too when I read that !!!!

the secret envelope ......

'the tickets' .......with places she wanted to take him
+ the hotel they were staying at

the inside.....  (oops - forgot to crop !!)

Backing papers - CD from Craftwork cards
Scalloped Envelope - Sizzix
Stars - Spellbinders
Ticket Die - Whimsey Stamps

My card today is also a midway reminder for the LCI Challenge - Use Stationery.
I have used The Teenagers - Josh - Xbox digi stamp - suits Lewis down to the ground.

Candy, Bride & Ebay

Good Morning to all - and a special good morning to my new follower !!
As promised, one more piece of candy has been placed into my Blog Candy.....and I WILL take a photo and post it soon.

If you don't know what on earth I am talking about take a look at my 'sticky note' at the top of my blog ;0)

Well - I have a Sizzix Big Shot Express which is exactly the same as a Big Shot but electric, and as all crafters know we need a bigger cutter for the new larger dies - so back in September I treated myself after much deliberation - I even had a telephone debate with my good friend and Queen Ladybug Kerry - a Spellbinders Grand Calibur but I was disappointed as the crank handle was a nightmare after having the electric Big Shot - so when I noticed the new Craftwell Ebosser - I knew my name was on one.....
So I put lots of things inc my Grand Calibur onto eBay and sold everything inc the GC - for only £5 less than I bought it for - I was a very happy bunny !!
So guess what a courier delivered to me on Friday ?? Yes my gorgeous new diecutter - it takes A4 sheets so no cutting down, can run large dies through, large embossing folders, more than one smaller diecut at a time AND it cuts through EVERYTHING like butter.....an absolute dream.......

Now onto my card - John and I were invited to a wedding on Saturday and it was surely a wedding dreams are made of.

It was set in a Manor and the grounds were just stunning. The bride, Lucy, was gorgeous - very simple dress but so beautiful and Stephen never stopped grinning all day.

I just had to use Bride Nikki from LCI - perfect for the occasion.
The embossing folder came free with my brand spanking new Ebosser !!!

A combination.....

Thank you for stopping by and remember if you aren't already a follower - please do read my sticky note at the top of my blog.

Ladybugcraftsink Office Stationery Challenge

I hope you enjoyed Laurie's Challenge - I enjoyed browsing all your blogs and wow there were some fantastic entries - do check over at the challenge blog to see if you are one of our lucky winners......

Today's challenge is from the lovely bug Sally and she would like you to include some office stationery on your card.....such as envelope, staple, paperclip. bulldog type clip, lined paper etc

Here's my card - I have used star paperclips which I bought when I was about 19 in Germany !! I've always loved paper, stationery and when I was younger prefered to go into stationers than clothes shops !!
The image I have used is a newly purchased Buttercup with Bird on head.... and the backing papers are a freebie Minds Eye paper pad last year!!!
The hessian type thingymajig is something I found whilst sorting my craft room and have to be honest wondered if I'd ever use it !!

Isn't this paperclip just the cutest ever ??

a sneaky peek at the inside...

a close up of the paperclip ;0)

a combination of everything ...

Thank you for stopping by, please go and
give some ladybug love to all the team....

Happy 40th Birthday....

We were blessed with great weather for bonfire night - we ended up sitting in front of  the fire until 10:45 !!
We had a laugh and although I didn't want to go in the first instance I can hand on heart say it was the best night out in a long time....

I was asked by my beautician if I could make a card for her friend who is a singer.....and is fond of animal print.

I found the image on Google - the animal prints are a digital paper pack I purchased on Etsy.
The ribbon was a mistake - I ordered the wide one and was sent this instead but to send back would've cost me more than the ribbon - I thought it suited this card though.
The buttons are hiding where I jumped on my sewing machine - Celeste my Burmese decided she wanted to see what I was up to !!

Please don't forget to follow me and comment on my 'Candy Post' to be in with a chance of winning.....

Take care and Hugs
