Golden Wedding.....

We are off to Balsall Common today to celebrate John's mums cousins Golden Wedding Anniversary - he helped so much and travelled to Kent so often to see Brenda we decided it would be lovely for him for us to make the journey to celebrate with him.....

Brenda and John (another John !!) were seperated when they were young and John did a family tree and found her three years ago - unfortunately Evelyn, John's mums sister had already passed away but it was lovely watching them reminisce - shame it was short lived.

Here is my card I made for them.......

The backing paper is from Stampin'up - it is reversible so I used both sides to give it a contrast.....

the absolutely stunning ribbon is from American Crafts from Sarah's Cards

What would I do......

......without crafting.....went on an 8 mile power walk this morning to clear my head - and got back home and swear if I didn't craft I would have just gone back to bed and slept until school pick up time - but instead went into my craft room and my mood turned around pretty quickly. Listening to Take That it was 3.10pm before I knew it :)

My card today is simple but I thought it came out quite nice....

Grumps...

Lewis and Eleanor have followed tradition and called my FIL 'Grumps' ever since they were born and to be honest I can't imagine him as anything else !!

I am very ahead of myself as his birthday isn't until October but was desperate to ink this stamp !!!!

I received my parcel from LCI last week and only got time today to actually get one inked - it was such a lovely stamp to play with, I think I will be using this one often......

Who lives here ??

Well Eleanor goes off to school tomorrow - have felt sick all day - what will I feel like on Tuesday when Lewis starts high school......just have to make a huge dent in making my Christmas cards to keep me occupied :)

Here is a card I was asked to make today for a couple who are moving in together and he is Australian so she asked me to to try and incorporate it somehow in the card.

I haven't tried 'bunting' before but think I've found something that will be going onto alot of my cards......

I made the backing paper using 'julesdingz' font - capital H - and alternated it in red and blue - I was very happy with the result :)
