Gift card....

The weather here the past couple of days has been absolutely dreadful but watching the news tonight I realise how lucky we are.....I can't begin to imagine what those poor people are going through...hopefully all my blogging friends are warm and dry.
I had an enquiry last week from a lady who was treating her husband to a weekend in Paris for Christmas BUT he knew nothing about it.....
She wanted the card to incorporate the gift - so she asked me if I could design the card round the trip......
Eeeek - I don't know about you but sometimes these cards
can almost look child-made and didn't really like the idea of making the card with the Eiffel tower in the middle....
A few weeks ago I saw a card that had an envelope on it and wondered if I could do something like that - I can't for the life of
me find the blog where I saw it....
So with all sorts of ideas going around in my head - here is my completed card.......and this is what the lady wrote to me
"Susan, I cried I can't believe it, the card is unbelievable,
fantastic and just so right'
well - I cried too when I read that !!!!

the secret envelope ......

'the tickets' .......with places she wanted to take him
+ the hotel they were staying at

the inside.....  (oops - forgot to crop !!)

Backing papers - CD from Craftwork cards
Scalloped Envelope - Sizzix
Stars - Spellbinders
Ticket Die - Whimsey Stamps
Thank you for stopping by.....

  1. Fantastic Susan. No wonder she was so pleased. Love the idea of the tickets in the envelope. Kept the secret that little bit longer. x

  2. What a fab idea and wonderful card Susan. Love how you have done the tickets with the pictures on! x

  3. Now isn't it funny but I am not a fan of kraft card or papers but I have to say that it does look really great with the white. Great card and great embellishments.

  4. Oh wow this is fabulous, love how you have made it all up!! x

I know how time consuming leaving comments is - so I really do appreciate all messages left for me. It truly makes my day.
