Another day , another card...

A close friend asked me if I would make a card - different than what she could buy in the shops - well I hope that's what I manage to do with all my cards !!!!

Asked her any specifics - shoes, bags, champagne - and she replied 'Yes !!' - I laughed - aren't we predictable....??!!

Here is what I came up with.......

Bugaboo digital stamp - coloured in with Promarkers

Happy Anniversary....

My MIL came home today - and although we were desperate to get her home we are all now on edge until her care plan begins.....we will be staying with her for the weekend and then pass the baton to my brother-in-law Paul....

...... I thought I would introduce you to my two babies - here are Cocoa and Celeste , my 3 year old Chocolate Burmese cats - they are adorable and are so loving and attention seeking - I love them to bits.....many of my cards need to be adjusted due to either of them 'helping' me !!!

We travel down to my MIL early in the morning - not looking forward to the traffic due to the FA cup final :-(

A welcome delivery....

My MIL is still in hospital and certainly not out of the woods - we are fighting hard for her to be allowed home as she does not want to get to the point she will never be allowed home - and this would be against all her wishes....:-(  John, my husband, is down in Kent at the moment caring for my FIL - he travels home late tonight.....he has had to do alot around the house to make it 'safe' for him to be left alone for short periods of time...and he has managed to get a stairlift fitted in under 24 hours - isn't it surprising what can happen if you need it bad enough.....but a weight off our mind - IF he uses it....and also another thing we can point out to get my MIL home....

Have been making a few cards over the past couple of days but have no 'blogging' time ....and was delighted with Ladybugcraftsink weekly challenge as it just fit the bill for one of the cards I had made .......it's for my dad to give my mum !!!

After all the bad news we have had these past few weeks - all my crafting supply deliveries give me such a lift - but none like todays - I spotted this flower die on a MFT newsletter and just knew I had to have it.....I even mailed Kerry with my excitement.....she shared my excitement !!!  Well today it arrived so I tweeked the card I'd made for my dad to add my new flowers - don't you just love them ??

Here is my creation for this weeks LCI challenge - Black, White plus one other hope you like it......

Thursday already !!

Lewis and Eleanor came out of school today - buzzing that it was Friday tomorrow - where on earth did this week go - it's this time last week we didn't even know what Kate's dress looked like - now it's everywhere you look !!

I was asked to make a few cards this week - I'm sure my friends are trying to keep me busy so that I don't worry too much about my MIL (who is out of the woods but has had more bad news this week so we are still on our emotional roller coaster :( )and I had some to make for myself too - here is one that I made for a friend's mum whose birthday is on Saturday.

Card Blank - Craftwork cards
PS - Minds Eye
Pink Ruffle Ribbon - LCI
Stamp - SU Saleabrations Sweet Summer - coloured in with Promarkers

Wasn't she just stunning......

I'm sure like me many of you were glued to the television on Friday - and then the highlights and then the glossy magazines - just to relive the day......

My daughter was so excited she didn't sleep the night before and had set her alarm for 8am - if only she'd slept until then. At 5am she came into our room and asked could she start watching the coverage !!

When Kate arrived at the church I shed a tear and couldn't believe how natural she looked and how she took the whole day in her stride......I wish we could all  take a leaf out of her book.

After 'the kiss' we travelled down to my MILs who we found in a mess - her left leg was so huge it looked like she had a plaster cast on it.
To cut a long story short she has now been admitted into Maidstone Hospital where they discovered she had blood poisoning - she needed instant IV antibiotics as the oral ones hadn't even touched the infection in her legs and two full blood transfusions. Today she had a CT scan to see if the chemotherapy was working - we will learn more towards the end of the week - but they did see that the IV antibiotic was having no effect whatsoever so have moved it into her arm....I pray that my wonderful MIL doesn't suffer as not once during this horrendous time has she complained and remains 'cheerful'.

On a brighter note I made Ladybugcraftsink top 3 - I was amazed and am still in shock - thank you so much Kerry and team :-) - it really really did make my day - so much so I took myself into my craft room and decided to enter into this weeks challenge too !!

Here is my creation for this weeks LCI challenge - Going Dotty - I used one of the new stamps - hope you like it as much as I love the stamp....
