Tough times....

My life is taking a very difficult road at the moment and am struggling to find the time to sit and craft - which is tough as it is my way of relaxing and getting 'me' time.

But today I logged onto Kerry's blog as she had been promising a new release and knew I wanted to join in the fun :-)

Here is my creation for this weeks Ladybug Crafts Ink Challenge - Fashion

I have used LCI stamp Robyn - dressing up.
It's my mum's birthday towards the end of next month so I decided to make it for her......

Coloured with Promarkers
Glitter - SU
Ribbon - SU
Sentiment - Craftwork cards

Happy Monday......

...well not really Lewis and Eleanor returned to school today. Am I the only mother who gets upset when the children go back to school......??

I went round to a friend's mums this morning for a cup of tea - she lost her husband not long ago and needed some cheering up....am I the best person to do that ?!?

I then came home and made another card for a friend's daughter who is also 14 in a couple of weeks - a group of my friends all had their first children before me so are in an ante-natal group - and can you believe they all had girls who are all now turning 14 - I joined the group of friends when one of the mums had a second child - who was born a couple of days before Lewis.....:-)

Really need help on my photography !!

Loved colouring this image - and glittering the icing on the cupcake......

Played with my flower and decided to see what would happen if I rolled two lots of felt together - and voila - I was very impressed.....

Thank you for looking......

Home Sweet Home

What a long and tiring week - but last night as we left Kent it took every bit of strength we had left between us not to turn round and go back - we were beside ourselves leaving but John has work , it isn't much fun for the children and we have commitments at home.....

Haven't had time to make any cards again today - but Kerry asked if I'd made January, February and March calendars so I thought I'd share them......

If you click on each month you can print them if you like ;-)

Thank you for looking and hopefully get a bit more crafty tomorrow......

My Digital Studio.....

Today, I have a monthly calendar to show you that I made using the My Digital Studio. Isn’t it exciting Easter is nearly here !!

I am unable to make cards at the moment so my saving grace is playing with my MDS :D

Weather is still beautiful here - had an odd shower last night but another line of washing dried today....and John, my FIL and the children are down at the riverside while Brenda rests up....and I have made a bolognese for tea and played with my MDS !!!!

Hope you like it !!!

I went to the Palace yesterday.....

....well Ally Pally actually to The Big Stamp & Scrapbooking Show...

I over spent - but who doesn't when you go to these shows - I have made a promise to myself that by the end of summer I will have used everything at least once....how many things have I bought from craft shows that I can't live without and never used ??!!!

Have spent most of today cleaning and tidying my MIL's house - and John was in the garden chopping and sorting - a mammoth task for both of us...but so rewarding to see her face light up.

I then went on to make Sunday roast - and at the same time trying to make my FIL's afternoon snack ( he needs to eat every two hours)  and unfortunately as I was cutting the parsnips the toaster popped up and I jumped startled  cut straight through my left thumb....I'm not very good with blood so the scene that followed wasn't very pretty :-(

I got Lewis' attention who went to find John and after a scene from Casualty - me nearly passing out and lots of blood - John wrapped it up to try and stop the bleeding - four hours later we unwrapped it to see if it had stopped but no it was still bleeding - have wrapped it back up and will see what it's like in the morning.....I really don't want to spend 5 hours in A&E if I can avoid it......and hopefully overnight it will 'bond' together....

But ho hum FIL didn't get his snack and my roast was served very late !!!

Here is a card that I made a couple of weeks ago for a friend's wedding anniversary.....the stamp is from http://www.liliofthevalley.co.uk/acatalog/Stamp_-_Toadstool_for_Two.html - I used Spellbinders Nestabilities for the stamp, coloured in with my Promarkers and then embossed both pieces of card through my Big Shot and once again embellished with the stunning felt flowers and diamante for the centre.....

The Sun has got his hat on......

Staying down in Kent at the moment looking after my MIL - one of life's loveliest people who unfortunately for everyone, as we will miss her dearly, is terminally ill with pancreatic cancer and now various more secondarys as the vicious disease is spreading.

The weather here is glorious went out for lunch today by the River Medway and there was one family there who had definitely decided this was summer :D

I haven't had a great deal of time to make any cards this past week but had made a couple of 40 cards for two friends - one male, one female - I was very short of time so I used a technique I hadn't for while...http://www.wordle.net/create - you type your choice of text into the box and then press create - you can change the font, colour and play with the layout - really addictive. Beware though you cannot go back once changed, I then print it and then copy it on my photocopier different sizes depending on the size of my card.

Here is the first one that I made for a man friend - so simple but effective - don't you think ??

......and the female one.....take a look at the ribbon - a stunnalicious ( a Kerry word !!) gift from my friend Kerry over at  http://www.ladybugcraftsink.co.uk

...and more of those beautiful felt flowers......

Hope you enjoy xx

Happy Mother's Day.....

....to all us mum's. I celebrated Mother's day with my mum yesterday - had a lovely meal out and some chat. My husband, John, flies to Kent this afternoon to spend the evening with my MIL before he goes on to Venray, The Netherlands early on Monday, and then me and the children join him in Kent on Thursday for a week.

Here is one of my many Mother's Day cards that I created using my Stampin' Up My Digital Studio which I bought whilst in US in 2009 - it's fantastic !!!!

Enjoy !!
