Anything but Square challenge

Our lovely Lindsey has set a challenge for this fortnight

 

'No squares allowed'

 

 

When I saw this challenge I thought - 'oh no !! - I don't do anything but square....'

so I went to check my blank card collection to see if I had anything there before I started to think about die-cutting a card and yes - I did - I must've bought these such a long time ago I had forgotten.

From Craftwork cards I think !!

 

For my card today I have used 'The Wrinklies' - it is a perfect card for my FIL's birthday - think I have used it before but ho-hum it's certainly different.

 

I embossed the card blank before I started to layer etc and have to say think it looks good.

The DP is a new purchase from Stampin' Up called 'Sweater Weather' - gorgeous.....and embellished with a few small wooden buttons from my stash.

Happy Saturday to all !!

 

Haven't had the best of weeks as my Dad has found out after having a PET scan that his bowel cancer is back - with this being his primary cancer they will sort this out first before they do his liver operation. It came as a huge shock as we were told that his bowel was clear of cancer in June.

He goes into hospital on Monday for more investigations and hopefully we will know more then.

Just feel so sorry for him.

 

I have been super productive with my card making this week - made a dent in my Christmas cards plus a few orders....

I absolutely love this one - love the colours - the ribbon/bow - papers - not often I fall in love with a card like this !! and I'm happy to say the lady I made it for loved it too :0)

Bellissimo Italy....

Lewis and Eleanor returned to school on Wednesday and so far so good.....;0)

For today's card I used Bucket of Roses and this time coloured it in yellows - bright and beautiful.

It is a delight to colour.

We went to Lake Garda for the last week of the summer holidays - it was so beautiful.

Snow Fun at LCI.......

Final Week Reminder........

Hello everyone

 

As you are reading this I will be on holiday in Lake Garda with John, Lewis and Eleanor - it was a last minute decision but I needed to know that my Dad was okay and that he wouldn't be having the operation to remove the tumour from his liver......as of yet it still hasn't been booked.

 He had a PET scan on Thursday but was assured nothing would happen this week.

I hope you are all organised for your little peeps returning to school next week - and that you are looking forward to getting back to 'normal'

The only thing I'm looking forward to is getting back to crafting properly - other than that I am not looking forward to them starting again.

 

Anyway must go and re-apply my sun cream (at least that is what I hope I will be doing !!)
