Good Luck in your New Home

Morning - I have had a funny sort of week - Lewis and Eleanor have only been in school for three days due to a teacher strike on Thursday and an inset day on Friday so a nice long weekend.

John has taken Lewis to the British Grand Prix today - they are staying over night and coming home after the race on Sunday......

I'm looking forward to a nice girly weekend with Eleanor.....:0)

Today's card I have used a Digistamp Boutique image coloured in using my Promarkers and added a simple red grosgrain ribbon.

Road to Recovery

My Father-in-law had a nasty fall a couple of weeks ago and ended up with a broken hip
- he suffers with Dementia so his road to recovery is going to be a long one but the hospital in Medway have been amazing - within 12 hours of an x-ray he had a Titanium hip replacement !

He is now waiting for a bed at St Bartholomew's which has rehabilitation wards as he is unable to go home as there is no-one to care for him 24 hours a day.

I decided to make him a fun card and found this digital image on Google - coloured it in with Promarkers and generated the sentiment on my computer.

He thought it was funny !!!

Happy Father's Day part 2....

Good morning everyone...!!

Well yesterday I showed you the cards that I made from Lewis and Eleanor to John,
today here is the card that I made for my Dad.

My Dad had some positive news from his MRI scan - his liver tumours have shrunk enough with the Chemotherapy for them to be able to operate. It really has changed how my Dad is feeling - he was getting very depressed as the Chemotherapy was making him so poorly but I think he is beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel......still a long way to go and another 3 months Chemo after the operation BUT at least they think he is strong enough for them to operate.

Isn't this image the cutest ?!?!?

I'd like to enter into the following challenges:

Thank you for stopping by - have a lovely week !!

Out of my comfort zone !!

Hi Everyone
Hope you've all had a lovely weekend and that the sunshine has been out for you.

I was asked to make a card and have to admit I was worried -
but I was happy with the results - what do you think ??

The papers were a digital download which I absolutely love.
I had the Prisma flower, crochet lace ribbon and scrabble letters in my stash.

Amy loved her card and think I will certainly be making more like this.

Something different....

Now our holiday is over - the washing, ironing and fitness plan begins....
I lost 7lbs the week before we went away and sure (but haven't stepped on the scales yet) some has crept back on......:0(

Today's card is something very different for a wedding but the lady was very specific in what she wanted - she had seen a baby frame I had made earlier in the year and asked could it be made into a card - she (and the couple) were thrilled !!

5 mile walk first thing, washing, ironing for me, Cricket and golf for Lewis,  finishing a religious study project for Eleanor and as always work for John tomorrow - so the holiday is truly over.....

Thank you for stopping by - lets hope the sun shines a little more now we are officially in June

Hugs
