New Home

Quick one tonight - a close friend finally moves home tomorrow
after being 'homeless' for 10 days.

Her original moving date was 16th November !!!
After lots of messing about by her purchasers they finally
will be sleeping in their new home in their own beds tomorrow.

The image is from LCI Home Tweet Home and thought it was perfect for a new home card. I coloured it in with my new pencils and love it.

The backing papers were a gift from lovely ladybug Diane for my birthday - how gorgeous are they ??

Too much snow......

We woke up this morning to another 3 inches of snow - I do love to look at it from the warmth of indoors but going out in it is another thing.....especially driving.

Last Friday my new prisma pencils arrived and I printed lots of images as I was stuck in doors and spent the day colouring !!

This week I got a surprise parcel from Queen Ladybug and one of the surprises was these ribbons - aren't the colours stunnalicious !!!

The nestie is a new one I came across cArt-Us Nesting Dies - Frame Tabs they are lovely and know I will get lots of use.

The image is one of my favourite Floral Delights from LCI and was so easy colouring in with the pencils - I then used my Glossy Accents on the vase and ladybugs.

The buckle was free from a magazine quite a long time ago but I found it whilst tidying my room!!!

Slowly but surely I'm getting there....

A big welcome to my new followers and thank you everyone who has put my blog candy in their sidebars....I have joined a few challenges and it has certainly brought more traffic - thank you for the tip !!

I made this card a few weeks ago for a friend - I printed on kraft card stock - I had to search the internet for a card that would go through my printer - I found some 170gsm @ greenstat.co.uk and it arrived within 48 hours - no more paper jams for me !!

I printed LCI Winestool Nikki and coloured her in with my new Prisma pencils.
I computer generated the sentiment....and hotfixed gems on the corners.
The backing paper is from Stampin Up which I stitched
direct onto the card blank.
I have done better photography - I'm sorry !!

Snow Day....

Lewis and Eleanor's high school was closed today due to access - they had a fabulous day - they both had a friend here most of the day and played out for hours until they were too cold and wet - when they came in for hot chocolate and flapjacks !!

We have two Burmese cats - Cocoa and Celeste - they are brother and sister and do not go outside unless we are out or we have a cat run which they go in occasionally in the summer...so today we thought we would see how they liked the snow - to say they didn't like it was an understatement - we put them down and they stood frozen to the spot meowing :0(

Here is a collage of photos that we took today

Now onto my creation.....

I saw this idea on Pinterest so thought I would give it a whirl and for a boy I thought it was quite cute.

The numbers I used were MFT ones and they were so easy to use....I stuck them down temporarily so that they didn't move in the die-cutter and t hen stuck the card down with 3D foam pads.....the sentiment stamp was from LCI

Hope you stayed safe and warm in the snow today if you were effected -
thank you for stopping by.

Hugs

Lilac Mum.....

The snow arrived and Lewis and Eleanor had a good time with their friends - they are back to school so now I just want it all to go away !!

I drive a car which is a rear wheel drive and it is no joy in this weather - in fact I haven't been out all weekend because I'm so scared. John's is a 4WD but it safest me being in my craft room !!

Teddy Bo have some gorgeous images and when I was asked to make a bear card for a friend's mother I knew just which bear I was going to use.

I used a digital backing paper which I purchased on Etsy. The ribbon is May Arts which I bought in bulk from SE Simons - unfortunately there is a minimum order so I just had to purchase lots of other gorgeous ribbon too !!

TGIF....

I can't believe I haven't posted for a week - where did this week go ??

We went to Edinburgh and it was just great - we did a little bit of history, shopping, eating and I had my 60 minute massage which was absolutely divine.......

Here was the view from our bedroom window.

I have been ill with Bronchitis again this week so have been resting up quite a bit and crafting quite a bit - although feeling much better am soooooo tired.

My card today is one I made for my BILs birthday - the stamp is Stampin' Up, so are the papers.
I purchase my Stampin' Up from a demonstrator in Aberdeen - she is a lovely lady - here is her blog - and I'm sure she'd help with any of your SU needs.
The punch is a Martha Stewart one - which is my second one as my first one was so over used it jammed :0(

Hope you are keeping warm and safe in the snow, I'm ready for hibernation I don't like snow especially when it turns to slush then ice......

Take Care

Another Negative......and a positive !!

It's Friday again and a lovely weekend ahead - John has organised a surprise trip for us all to Edinburgh. I have no idea where we are staying but know that I am having an hour long massage on Sunday morning.....it's my birthday treat.

As some of my blogging friends know I lost my MIL last year on my birthday - so this week has been quite tough for us all. On top of this my Dad was diagnosed with Cancer, two weeks before Christmas - he had the tumour removed last Friday and this week has been a rollercoaster for him.....I've been ill with a chest infection all week and am unable to visit him so a weekend away is just what the Doctor ordered.

My friend's son shares his birthday with me and I put my new found technique into practice......I'm really impressed !!

Pretty in Pink.....

Hello and welcome to my new follower - yes 32 now - only 18 to go before my blog candy goes to one lucky person. If you don't know what I'm talking about please do go to my sticky post note at the top of my blog......

Todays card has been made with MFT Alphabet and Numbers dies but instead of using the die cuts I have based the card on the negative - the butterflies have been punched out with an MS punch....I also tried a stitch on my sewing machine that I've not tried before .......and I'm loving it !!

Christmas gift to myself !!

I hope by now everyone is back to normal and that the last mince pies have been eaten and the last of the chocolate has gone.
Monday I will continue my new healthy me - I have walked over 50 miles since Christmas Eve at about 5 miles an hour so am really pleased with myself - it allowed me to not feel too guilty if I did indulge slightly.

I have joined the many others on the Dryathalon to support Cancer Research where we don't touch alcohol during January. I have set up a Just Giving page http://www.justgiving.com/dryathlete-susan-dalton if anyone can help I would be truly grateful.

During the holidays I browsed many many blogs but have to admit I was extremely lazy in commenting - I do apologise.
On my journey I visited Julie's blog and she had purchased a couple of new Sizzix dies to produce the most awesome cards. Take a look at this.

So I just HAD to treat myself and here is my creation...really sorry for the photography but just couldn't get the light.
